We recently did a pre-Christmas trip to Washington, D.C. In addition to the usual tourist stuff, we had the opportunity to pray for a young man at a store who had been shot in the left arm 3 years earlier which caused nerve damage. He could not lift his left arm above his head nor could he pick up a cup or bottle with his left hand. Suzanne and I prayed for him. I remember saying “May your arm be as it was when you were young.” Suzanne had purchased some items for our kids and, while I took them back to our apartment, Suzanne continued to pray and speak to the young man. When I returned, the young man shouted “I can lift my arm, I can lift a cup, It’s a miracle.” His boss was watching and wondered who we were. We said “We are people who come in the Name of Jesus.”
